October Week 2, LDS Young Women Lesson, FSY Discussion Guide: Chapter 10 "The Word of Wisdom"

This ready-to-teach LDS Young Women 25-minute discussion guide is designed for October Week 2, 2026 using the For the Strength of Youth guide in the October magazine issue and the “Dive Into the Doctrine” format.

This lesson focuses on the Word of Wisdom and helps girls look beyond a simple list of “do’s and don’ts” to discover why the Lord gives commandments that protect and bless our bodies.

Through a quick conversation warm-up, scripture discovery in Doctrine and Covenants 89, and simple “Who? What? When? Why?” discussion prompts, Young Women are invited to recognize the Lord’s warnings, promises, and blessings for themselves.
